Artmeme enables emerging artists to reach a wider audience by providing them resources to market themselves, manage their careers and connect with galleries and art enthusiasts. We provide rich content through articles, aggregating both global and local art-related news. We offer a global forum for discussion, interactivity and debate. We host regular events and meetups to bridge the gap between the online and local community.

I wanted to bridge the gap between visual art communities by bringing artists together with one another, their fans and galleries. Wicked Start inspired me to create local and global meetups.

For the past 8 years I have worked and been involved in the art industry as a Photo Editor and representing visual artists. I noticed a huge disconnection between what was wanted from artists and what artists needed in order to excel and continue onto success. I started Artmeme to address artists needs through resources, articles and in person meet ups. I also wanted to bridge the gap between visual art communities together by bringing artists in connection with one another, their fans and galleries. Wicked Start inspired me to create local and global meet ups. Additionally, I'm considering including consulting as another addition to Artmeme but perhaps in a year or two. Bouncing around ideas (and practical at that) made my meeting with Wicked Start that much more of a success and being able to convey it only makes others realize how important artists voices are within the art community. Brainstorming various revenue paths was definitely a huge help as well.
